The basic rules for fishing are: If the moon is waxing the chances rise. If the moon is waning the fishes will bite less often. Also the full and new moon are beneficial for catching fish. On a full moon, fishing close to the surface is more effective. On a new moon, you should offer your bait closer to the bottom.
